Chemistry at Work
Royal Society of Chemistry
In-school visit
The aim of the Chemistry at Work programme is to present a positive image of chemistry and the chemical sciences to young people by highlighting the importance and relevance of chemistry to a wide range of jobs (some of which are unexpected!). Each event lasts for 1 to 3 days and usually take the form of several short presentations in which presenters explain how they use chemistry in their everyday work. Teachers are often as interested in the presentations at Chemistry at Work as the students, they often go back to their schools armed with information about how chemistry is used in the wider world.
