This highly interactive workshop/presentation is designed to introduce pupils to the important issue of climate change. Pupils actively learn about sustainability, energy efficiency, renewable energy and the actions they can take to make a difference. This is achieved through a variety of hands-on activities, video presentations and team challenges designed to meet curriculum learning objectives and develop pupils' inter-personal skills. The programme includes: Climate change and its effects, fossil fuels and renewable sources of energy, the three r's – re-ducing, re-using and re-cycling and the exciting stand by challenge. Aided by MACC (our hero whose quest it is to combat climate change), pupils are guided through the topics and have the opportunity to ask and answer questions throughout this engaging experience.
