Further Mathematics Support Programme
Excursion
The Further Mathematics Support Programme (FMSP) promotes the study of AS and A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. We ensure that all students in England who would benefit from studying Further Mathematics have the opportunity to do so. Wherever possible we encourage schools and colleges to offer Further Mathematics tuition and provide resources, professional development and advice to support them. Where a school/college is unable to offer tuition we offer flexible tuition to meet the needs of students and their schools/colleges. The FMSP provides stretch and enrichment events at key stage 4 and runs competitions, including a Year 10 Mathematics Team Competition and the FMSP/UKMT Senior Mathematics Team Challenge. We also provide AS/A level revision events and help to prepare students for STEP and AEA examinations. Over 2500 schools and colleges in England are registered with the FMSP. Registration is free and the benefits include: teacher access to extensive online resources, live online revision sessions, regular newsletters, and access to expert advice from local FMSP Area Coordinators; all of which are free of charge. The FMSP is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and is managed by Mathematics in Education and Industry (MEI).
