Excursion

Future Engineers uses iconic structures to showcase engineering to students in the form of one day events. Aimed at secondary school pupils, these free events aim to raise the profile of engineering as a career choice and give a unique insight into the variety of careers available. Events consist of a tour of the chosen engineering project; past projects include Cunard's Queen Mary 2, Flybe's maintenance base in Exeter, Wimbledon Centre Court Roof and RAL in Oxford. Following this, students are given the opportunity to partake in relevant engineering-based activities. Companies are invited to exhibit at a careers fair, giving students first-hand access to potential employers.
