Generation Science
Edinburgh International Science Festival
In-school visit
Generation Science is the touring science education programme from the Edinburgh International Science Festival. It is a programme of curriculum-based shows running throughout Scotland. Exciting demonstrations and unusual equipment are used, such as liquid nitrogen, LEGO robots and an inflatable planetarium to illuminate areas of science, making them easier to understand. A combination of professional communicators, theatrical antics and science education is used to deliver a learning experience that children will never forget. The shows and workshops aim to inspire and nourish children’s curiosity, wonder and understanding of the world by getting them to appreciate and use science and technology. All the activities are engaging and fun, leaving children with an improved motivation to learn more.
