Excursion

The School of Mathematical Sciences is committed to increasing the number of students taking mathematics at all levels, from secondary to higher education. We run a variety of different activities to inspire students and to get them thinking about all of the different things they can do with mathematics. We offer lectures, talks in schools, taster courses and masterclasses. We also host regular school visits where students can get a feel for what it's like to study mathematics. We regularly visit schools to give talks on what it's like to study maths at university or on an aspect of current research. We also run a residential course for teachers of mathematics which is held in July each year.
