Starchaser's ONE SMALL STEP presentation explains how and why men went to the Moon and what they achieved when they landed there. Using a selection of the best photographs and video footage taken during the Apollo era the audience is taken on a “typical” mission to the Moon. The origin and composition of the Moon are considered and terrestrial analogues as well as actual NASA Moon rocks (when available) are used to illustrate key points. The presentation also looks at why we abandoned the Moon at the height of Apollo's success and asks what the future holds for lunar exploration. Up to four sessions per day – audience size unlimited.
