Royal Institution of Great Britain

Excursion

The Royal Institution hosts exciting science demonstration events on a wide range of science topics, delivered by scientists and science communicators. It also welcomes school groups to its Central London venue to tour the museum charting some of the important discoveries made in our beautiful building. The exhibition and multimedia eGuide also show how ideas about science have changed over 200 years, and reinforce concepts in history and citizenship. The demo events help teachers, by being able to complement their teaching and extend students learning, and having access to expert knowledge and expertise. Students benefit by having events that both reinforce learning in the classroom but also go beyond, and hearing from working scientists about what their work actually entails.
