A structured programme which aims to support the new curriculum arrangements at Key Stage 3 through the development of links between secondary schools and local business and industry. Schools are asked to carry out an energy audit for a local company and assess the potential for use of renewable energy. It aims to support the development of links between secondary schools and local business and industry and give young people the opportunity to develop scientific, technical, employability and life skills within the context of the workplace. It also aims to enhance understanding and achievement in science, technology and maths.
