ZSL Whipsnade Zoo's Education Programme brings science to life using animals and the natural world as a hook to engage and inspire. Education officers deliver fun and interactive sessions using images, skins, skulls and even live animals. There is a wide variety of curriculum-linked sessions from Foundation to Post-16 on environmental and animal-based topics. The Zoo's status as a world-wide conservation organisation allows us to use current case studies and stories from research scientists in the Institute of Zoology and from conservation workers in countries around the world. The Zoo has also been awarded a Learning Outside The Classroom Quality Badge.
